comic relief

Taking a child to the emergency room is something I hope to never experience again, let alone your 13 day old newborn. After a sonogram was performed the doctor also requested x-rays. Everything turned out fine. Praise God. And we even had a dose of comic relief when one of the brilliant techs asked since we were going to be in the room during the procedure, was there a chance that I was pregnant.
I'm sorry, "What?!"
We're bringing in my THIRTEEN DAY OLD.
Uh, no. No chance. Zero chance in fact.
Idiot.

I hate to dust

wow. this sucker is duuuusty. And my husband can attest there are two cleaning tasks I despise: dusting and mopping. So I'll just pretend I've never left, that this blog isn't covered with cobwebs, and I'll dive right in. With the addition of a third little lady four weeks ago, I have plenty of awake time from the hours of 8pm-8am, when most normal people and children are snoozing. So I should be able to post a note on a more frequent occasion. Here is said little beauty:

She is exactly 4 weeks old today. And may be learning to like me. Let's just say I call her the game changer - a completely different newborn than her older sisters. Girlfriend has some pipes. I don't know if she's overly excited about the haunting season or she's having day, night, nap, and waking tremors. It's taken me about two weeks to learn some of her preferences and another two weeks for her to learn that I am consistently going to feed her. Every 2 hours. Sometimes sooner. Like when the screaming starts. Because, I'll admit, I'm the only one with a "cork" to quiet her up. Two "corks" in fact.
